Record Sleeve, no. 1. 2014. 10.25 x 10.25 in. Made for a friend from NYC who was visiting Texas for the first time. His nickname is “Fat Cat”. He collects 78rpm records from the first half of the 20th century, as do I. I thought it would be fun to give him a Texas blues record and a custom sleeve. I drew a picture of the century plant, one of our favorite native plants here. Then I burned the design into the record sleeve with my laser.
